Best Mac N' Cheese ...

Man, I pine for the days that my mom would take me to Morrison's Cafeteria in Gastonia, NC ... I would ask her if I could just order "four servings of mac and cheese for lunch" (the answer always being "no").

But, these days, I have to give it to J. Alexander's for their version of the dish ... lots of regular cheese, with blue cheese in it as well, and great crumbles, bacon, and ham ... any other great mac/cheese offerings?

There's a wonderful restaurant here in Denver called Mizuna that has an absolutely to-die-for lobster macaroni and cheese. My mouth is watering just thinking about it!

Ummmmm...lobster...mac'n'cheese...I'm descending into foodie trance

Well for plain ole' mac'n'cheese, Mama back in BNA still makes the best. But the mac'n'cheese in BOS at Silvertone (off Tremont, near the Granary Burial Yard and Govt Center) is a darn close copy.

I like the one at Globe Restaurant in San Francisco. Enough for 2 to share as a side dish. I believe they use Tillamook cheese.

^ to the truffled mac and cheese from Prime @ The Bellagio
