I think water tastes just fine on its own in most places.

Some carbonation helps, though.

I would certainly never add anything that has aspartame instead of sugar. Yuck.

There is a correlation between non consumption of plain water and "stones"

I drink plenty of water and other non sweetned/non alcholic bev's
Soda and bitters is my standard"cocktail"And I brew up large pitchers of herbal teas to have on hand in the fridge.
