I don't find Hooters to be top-notch, however it is a good place for wings.

There was one outside of Baltimore, MD that was actually decent (of all places).

Hooters is about as top-notch as any other slightly-slower fast food place like Bennigans, Fridays or Dave and Busters for that matter.

Had I known this thread was going to turn into a Hooters bashing thread I would have named it: the H(.y.)TERS BASHING thread!

There is much more to see or do in this world than going to fast food restaurants in NJ or FL and exactly none of these fast food places will be now (or ever) "top-notch".

Like what? determining whether MD booze is cheaper than NJ booze... or speculating whether old fat .....es have shorter hair? give me a break!

If you don't like the topic why waste your precious time in this world to spew out a negative response?

After about 2 years of no visits, I visited a Hooters a couple weeks back with a friend - and we were harassed by the waitress to buy merchandise. Apparently they have some "reward" system, based on merchandise sales. I thought that was pretty classless.

I've found the southern Hoots have better eye candy than the northern ones. The one in CRW must hire HS girls as they are very young and not the "Hooter girl" type. The phrase "carpenter's delight" comes to mind.

WRT the wings... they aren't bad. I prefer Quaker Steak and Lube's wings much better.

Has anyone eaten anything OTHER than the wings/fries at Hoots?

Yes. I've had mediocre and overpriced chicken sandwiches and burgers at Hooters.

In DFW we now have a chain of Hooters knock-offs called Ker's Winghouse. They're marginally better than Hooters, though that's not saying much. http://www.winghouse.com/index.asp

A slight twist on the concept is Twin Peaks restaurant. Twin Peaks has better food and prices. Worth a visit. Especially if you like the bleached blonde massively siliconed type of waitress. http://www.twinpeaksrestaurant.com/

Seems to be consensus that the food here is nothing special (to be charitable). If I really want to blow my low-sodium diet, there's plenty of ways to do it here. Their hot ham and cheese sandwich isn't half-bad for greasy "comfort food".

As for the "eye candy", I guess its up to the individual as to whether its worth the trip.

Of course, I always enjoy the view. But, as is the case with the food, I don't consider it worth going out of the way for. About the only time I go is if there's one right by my hotel and I'm too tired or lazy to go anywhere else.

speaking of Hooters knock-off's... there's BAZ(.y.)KA'S in NJ

similar bad food, and the eye candy is considerably fatter... but another sleazy alternative for a weekend car show type of meet.

I was curious, so I went to Hooter's once, when I was in Hollywood. We had only a short time to grab a bite before a show at the Chinese Theater, and there Hooters was. I figured that LA has to be crawling with wannabe starlets who need to pay the rent (i.e. future Hooters girls), so they ought to have above average scenery. What a joke! I have seen hotter young women working at Dairy Queen in Indiana. There are plenty of restaurants in greater LA where the waitstaff all appear to have modeling contracts, but Hooters isn't one of them.

Has anyone eaten anything OTHER than the wings/fries at Hoots?
Yes. My then-boyfriend had the chili and spent a couple of hours paying penance later in the evening.

I enjoyed the Hooters in Singapore. It covers both the Hooters experience and Asian fetishes. I have also made the pilgramage to the Original Hooters in Clearwater, FL.

The other Hooters of note I visited was Nairobi. After seeing it I stopped at a US Hooters, got a picture of the girls and took it back to Nairobi so they could see proper Hooters attire.
