As with all others, I’ll wait to consume until what I consider to be credible sources try it first. |

Coors anyone?
Coors is getting into the whiskey business with a bourbon blend. The product, Five Trail will hit the shelves in September with a suggested $59.99 price point. More here….

I want to buy a bottle of bourbon for a friend as a thank you...maybe $40 max. What do you all recommend? It seems that maybe Woodford is a favorite here.
BTW...I had an interesting cocktail that sounds weird but was really good. It was basically an old fashioned but with a small amount of banana puree added. As odd as it sounds, the banana really smoothed it out and didn't make it taste like bananas. |

Can I invade this thread with a nice Martinique rum that is aged in a bourbon barrel? :)
This is tasting nice right now. |

BevMo had the Woodford for $29.99 so I bought it. I may get a tray to make giant ice cubes or spheres to go with it if I have time.

My regulars are now Old Tub, the unfiltered BIB 100 proof from Jim Beam and the 100 proof Cooper's Craft from Brown-Forman.

The Woodford and big ice cube tray were a hit. Now she just has to hide the booze from her husband---not that he has a problem, just that she wants it to herself.
Thank you everyone for the ideas and help. |

If you see Basil Hayden Toast… don’t. Just don’t. It’s awful. Or at least try a pour before buying a bottle.
