Flora G&T. See post 317 for ingredients. The one I saw last week was prettier than mine but this was tasty. This was quite large and it took me a while to finish.

No photos....2 mojitos. At first the restaurant told us they were out of mint. That didn't sit well with us but somehow they miraculously found enough for 5 drinks. There is a trader Joe within walking distance and a Vons a tiny bit further--go get it.

Nothing too fancy — watching the Avs game with a couple glasses of the Costco old fashioned mix. It’s actually pretty good, though I still prefer the knob creek mix.

Summertime is definitely a great time for Negronis so picked up a bottle of Campari on my way home this afternoon (sidenote - I used the same sweet vermouth I use for Manhattan's - Carpano Antica - I cannot stress how much better cocktails with Sweet Vermouth taste with that brand)

Yea, that is one vegetable you will never ever see me cook or eat - really don't care for the taste/texture

I'm a huge eggplant fan. I love it in just every type of preparation as long is it is properly cooked; I don't care for it al dente.

That being said, the eggplant flavor was barely noticeable; they only infuse the simple syrup with it.

Here is the recipe as published by the Philadelphia Magazine:

To make the smoked eggplant spritz at Friday Saturday Sunday, they infuse smoked eggplant into simple syrup, then serve it in an icey glass with black tequila, Cappelletti (a slightly bitter, herbal Italian aperitif) and a splash of soda (garnish with orange twist and mint). It’s the perfect drink to get your appetite going for Friday Saturday Sunday’s epic tasting menu.

l love the stuff, but most of all when it has been sliced thin, breaded and fried. I don’t think I’d care for it in a drink though.

The Monroe. I wasn’t sure what to do with the cinnamon stick. I eventually put it out in the drink.

This is available at my local Costco for $35/bottle. I, too, have been using it with my negronis.

(In lieu of an orange peel, I add a splash of the Kirkland Signature orange liqueur.)
