That has to be one of the most unique both sounding and looking cocktails that I have seen. Also, never heard of butterfly pea flower, let alone what it tasted like. It does look quite exotic

Pineapple Upside Down drink. Pineapple infused light rum, pineapple juice, coconut water and a dark rum floater.

For those who like cucumbers a very easy & tasty cocktail.

Mrs Willie & I enjoyed the Archangel last night during our home cocktail evening.
  • 2 1/4 ounces gin
  • 3/4 ounce Aperol
  • 2 slices cucumber
Garnish: lemon peel

Instructions call for bruising cucumber, I mashed/muddled the cucumber as we both really enjoy cucumber.

A very easy drink to make

It actually had a floral taste..a little bit similar to St Germaine. But for sure very pretty!!

I had to check. Yep, that’s where the name comes from.

Separately, I have recently discovered that there's a global shortage of Chartreuse! The monks have apparently decided to limit production. Has anyone been able to find it in stores?

Can our European friends start shipping more Green Chartreuse to the US. Asking for a friend that can’t get it in our state and misses our Last Word cocktails.

Of course I meant “their” state and “their” last word since I was asking for a friend 😂

Let us hope that Chartreuse becomes ever easier to find worldwide. 🙏

I had to go to 6 different places to find crushed/ shaved ice but glad I did. Mint Julep might be my new favorite drink.

That's exactly what I did...made mint simple syrup the night before. Minty syrup is delicious. I never understood people paying for simple syrup when it is just water and sugar.

No mint julep but Woodford and chips at the back of the plane returning on 1st leg from KC BBQ DO:

Last night I made a Boulevardier with cask strength bourbon, Cocchi vermouth, Campari, and a dash of orange bitters in lieu of the orange slice.

This was great - maybe the best cocktail I've had in a long time.
