Sparkling Sake and P.I.N.K. Vodka

This seems like the only part of flyertalk to post something like this, please forgive if I should be elsewhere.

I have been reading about Sparkling Sake lately. Seems interesting, I might just head down to a sake store in SFO to pick some up. Anybody here try it or have anything to say about it? I read that there is a slightly sweet type of this product also, I am very interested in trying that. Any comments?

Also- this semi new vodka thats basically vodka and energy drink combined, its named p.i.n.k. Google and you will find some stuff. Anyways, anybody know a place on the west coast to get it, all I seem to see is places in NYC. For that matter, anybody tried it? I have not been to NYC in a long time and do not plan on going anytime soon, so I must rely on others opinions to satisfy my curiosity.

This sounds like an over-active Marketing Dept at a booze producer. Personally I would avoid such stuff.

Some of the sparkling sakes are great, but the ones that make it to the US are more along the lines of wine coolers (not that there's necessarily anything wrong with that, just depends on what you want to drink).

I'd recommend True Sake in San Francisco--the owner is not as knowledgeable as he pretends to be but does carry some pretty decent stuff.

True Sake is exactly where I was planning on going. Thanks
