What's your (food) weakness?
There are are quite a few foods that I like. There are some that I love. There are a couple I would have trouble passing up even if they were offered to me right after I finished a full meal.
My #1: Beets

Beets???
Of the top of my head, I'd have to say that:
My #1: crawdads (a.k.a. crawfish)
I recall returning to Houston, Texas, several years ago to visit friends and going with them to this soul food/Cajun restaurant. Stuffed myself silly on crawfish etoufee. Since I'd left my friends had gotten to know the owners pretty well. So, no one was particularly surprised when the owners offered us a ~3-lb. tray full of more crawfish (it was near closing time and they weren't going to be able to sell them). Though no one else could bring themselves to eat anymore, one of my friends and I just looked at each other, shrugged our shoulders and dug in!
We finished the tray of crawfish.

Fresh white Italian Truffles in late fall. I'll eat them shaved over pasta, eggs, potatoes, risotto. Truly, this decadent seasonal food is my weakness. Oh, and don't ever tell me that this taste can be replicated in truffle butter or truffle oil.

What I can't resist: foie gras, a good gruyere, or freshly baked baguette (all together, and you'd have me on my knees).

Beet recipes welcomed. And, yes, I know I'm odd. But if you have to crave a food, isn't this better than craving a big raw steak or half a pineapple upsidedown cake every day?
