Dining in Jackson, MS

So,

I'm going to be in Jackson MS the weekend of June 23rd for the International Ballet Competition (watching, not competing). I was wondering if anyone had good dining suggestions.

Also, some activity suggestions would be good as from other bulletin boards, there isn't much chatter about Jackson.

Thanks.

I am there that weekend also. See the above link for suggestions.

If you haven't been there before, it's a gem of a little town. The downtown has been gentrified. The governor's mansion is there, as well as the capitol building which also houses the the state's supreme court. I thought it worth the time to tour the downtown. However, for weekends the downtown is empty.

The happening area is up around the "reservoir".

Cheers,

M8
