Macau recommendations?

Will be staying in Westin for 1 night. Any dining recommendation? I prefer authentic, not too snobbish restaurants.

We ate at a fish place at the end of the third island called Georgio's, or Gregorio's, or something like that. It only sat about 30, but the seafood was excellent. The taxi out to the restaurant gave a nice driving tour of the islands as well. Reasonably priced.

Portas do Sol at the Hotel Lisboa has a vey nice Dim Sum lunch but it can get packed and I cannot remember if they accept reservations. There is also more of a coffee shop-style restaurant Noite e Dia Caf that was good as well.

Fernandos on Hac Sa Beach on Coloane (isn't the Westin there too?) is a Macanese institution - must tries whist in Macau are African king prawns (or chicken) and sweet egg custard tart.

I second the recommendation to try African chicken. I tried it at the Litoral, a great Macau/Portuguese restaurant which is close by the A-Ma temple.

Fook Lam Mun has the best seafood you'll ever eat, albeit expensive. Not overly snobbish.

Keeping in mind the adage, YMMV, we ate at Fernando's in mid-February one evening and thought that although some of it was pretty good, a couple of dishes were SO bad that they ruined the entire meal. I tend to give plenty of credit to the chance it was just a bad night, but.....

I'd be very careful on this one...

African chicken is the real deal. The coffee shop in the Casino Lisboa is very good. Also try the Macau Military Club for lunch; they have a buffet that is superb, supposedly. Although I do believe you have to book in advance.

Overall I think the food experience in Macau is excellent and unique.

I'll second this rec. I had a very good lunch at Litoral after visiting the temple.
