Not sure what you consider "experience".... the current flavor of choice is USDA Prime with a wasabi ginger demi-glace (and perhaps some Kobe influence) complemented by a properly chilled Hokusetsu Junmai Daiginjo YK35. If you don't know what that is, you assuredly do NOT know the lady's preferences. ;)

Hello,

My bf and I are going to Morton's Beverly Hills this coming October. It will be my first time there.

I am very excited, especially since most all of you seem to only have good things to say about their food and its quality. Hmm just thinking about it, makes me very very hungry!!!

By the way... just for wondering's sake, was it at the Morton's restaurant that Mrs. Doubtfire met up with Mr. Lundy in the movie Mrs. Doubtfire?? Just recalled that for some reason...

We went to Mortons last week and had the special 2 dine for $99. Steak and Seafood. It was tremendous. Each person gets a choice of two salads, a filet and a choice of shrimp or a crab cake, and each person gets a side dish (each side is more than enough to share) and a choice of creme brulee or their choolate cake. Check their web site to see if your location is participating. This special was extended until Thanksgiving in a lot of locations. Unfortunately not in Boston.

Blue Cheese salad
Filet Mignon with Sauce Béarnaise
Raspberry Souffle

YUMMMMMMMMY. BTW - My favorite is in Chicago...

Actually, no. It was at (and filmed at) Bridges Restaurant in Danville, CA (east bay suburbs)... and my hometown!

I think I'm going to try the 2 for $99 steak/seafood combo special... Since I usually order my usual with no room for anything else, I have not tried the salads or appetizers and was wondering which ones are better than others. So if you took this deal, what would your choices be???

Two Single Cut Filets (no choice)

Colossal Shrimp Alexander or Jumbo Lump Crab Cake

Caeser Salad or Mortons Salad

One Mortons Signature Potato

One fresh vegtable

Mortons Legendary Hot Chocolate Cake or Key Lime Pie

This thr3ead should be combined with the thread of people who are bored from "fine dining".

in little ms sunshine they went to applebys to lux dine. not all that much different than going to RC, morton, palm, S&W or CP.

:D

Sad, but not far from the truth. Don't forget Capital Grille from that list, please.
