I go for the crabmeat, caesars salad, double cut filet, asparagas, and maybe a potato if I'm really hungry. :)

Oh the crabmeat ... that's such a good appetizer. I love this thread. Just reading it makes me starve ... probably would do that if I had just come back from Morton's!

For dessert, always the cheesecake since it is S&S.

Lobster Bisque
Prime Rib - leftovers for days
Chocolate Souffle
Two steak bones to take home for my dogs...I love a dog friendly fine dining restaraunt!

*just a friendly neighborhood bump*

My work is taking me to Morton's for lunch on Tuesday for my b-day. Any *lunch* suggestions? I know they pretty much serve the same menu, but I hear there are some lunch specials that are pretty amazing as well. (I've never been there for lunch before...)

I didn't see it on the Mortons website, but here in LA they have what must be a permanent special of breaded veal. Its delicious.

Perfect pairing

They're also holding chocolate and red wine tastings in some locations right now...sounds like dinner to me!

Updating my own post again...

Some of us couldn't make it yesterday, so we went today (Wednesday) to lunch at Mortons instead. Their menu is very nice for lunch...there are price points for everyone from sub-$10 salads and appetizers to the $85 dinner size porterhouse for 2. There are also special "lunch" dishes that I've never seen before.

I ordered the Baked Five Onion Soup (YUM!) and the "Not so Big" Filet Mignon which actually comes with a side dish for under $30! It says choice of potato, but you can really substitute any side that's the same price. I just had the mashed potatoes, but a coworker ordered broccoli with hers instead. Then for dessert, I had the Godiva chocolate lava cake. I literally rolled out of the restaurant afterwards. Best birthday lunch EVER. ^

We order the chocolate soufflé first, since it takes an hour (and the wife is a chocoholic!)

Beefsteak Tomato w/blue cheese & onion
Sautéed Wild Mushrooms
Double Cut Filet Mignon, Sauce Béarnaise (still moving and bleeding....)
Lyonnaise Potatoes
What ever desert looks good that day (...one of each please ;) )
Coffee and a Bailey's straight up

Pay the bill and waddle out to the parking valet :D

It's been too long since I've been to a Mortons. I should plan to get back over there sooner rather than later, but tonight's a Gibsons night.
