Dining in Placencia, Belize

Hello All,

Will be in Placenica, Belize with 5 friends for a few days in March before taking a bareboat charter. Can anyone recommend any restaurants? I have read the travel books, but was looking for some first hand accounts.

Thanks,

Daisy's. Realize that Placencia isn't the kind of place with lots of fine dining options. You're going to find a lot more shacks selling stuff alongside the tiny street. But Daisy's, which is one of those houses on stilts, was where we kept returning day after day once we figured out that the food at our resort (Rum Point Inn) was horrible.

They had a lobster dinner for BZE$20 that was great. Nothing fancy...everything comes in a basket...but great nonetheless.

There was a place I forget the name of a bit outside of town in a big plantation house that was supposed to be the best restaurant in town. I don't think I'd make the trip again if it was free. And it wasn't.
