We just happened to be at the new HRC at Narita City Japan the day before it opened. Seems like an odd place to have an HRC but as an afterthought, there sure was a lot of foreigners killing time in the city as they waited for there flight. Probably a very astute move on HRC's part.

I'm really disappointed

Especially since the whole chain sold for less than a billion dollar. While that is indeed a lot of money but Peter Morton, the original owner of HRC (before the Rank group) sold ONE Hard Rock Cafe in Vegas for $770 million.

The Seminole Tribe definitely got a great deal!

Ones I've been to:

US (no particular order):
San Francisco (old Van Ness, and new - not nearly as friendly - Pier 39 location)
New York City (57th st)
Las Vegas
Boston

Outside the US, in order of visit:
Sydney
London
Paris
Edinburgh
Pattaya
Bangkok
Singapore

Got T-shirts at all of the international locations except Pattaya; only NYC and Las Vegas for the US ones. I've also got a HRC Tel Aviv T-shirt - never been, but it ended up in mixed up laundry back in college.

The Dallas Hard Rock Cafe will be closing on March 4, 2007. It will be relocating and opening at a later date.

I don't feel like such a nerd knowing I'm not so alone in collecting HRC shirts.

I've picked them up them from:

International

Manila - Anyone else been to this one?
Hong Kong
Jakarta
Bangkok
Tokyo

Domestic

Atlanta
Gatlinburg
Nashville
Chicago
Washington D.C.
Orlando
Minneapolis

I think I'm forgetting one or two but thats already a decent list...

Is there a thead like this for Hooters???

On the contrary, after reading the people that also collect them, it just reiterates that notion

My HRC T-shirt/shirt collection (includes now defunct locations):

Edmonton
Vancouver
Toronto Skydome
Houston
Las Vegas
Hollywood
Honolulu
San Diego
Washington, DC
New York
New Orleans
Kona
Cancun
Puerto Vallarta
Edinburgh
Berlin
Munich
Amsterdam
Madrid
Rome
London
Mykonos
Hong Kong
Tokyo
Kuala Lumpur
Sydney
Singapore
Cairo

My fave is a midnight blue Honolulu T with a fairly plain front but on the back a guitar surrounded with white flames and the "Pray For Surf" motto around the edge. ^

I see Bucharest is getting one in June, which is a few months before I arrive on my cheap NW tkt. ^ I'm also stopping for 8 hours in Houston, so will probably get into the Houston HRC and get another shirt rather than sit at the airport.

The funny thing is I haven't gone more than a few km's out of my way to get any of the HRC clothing as they've all been on my or my immediate family's holidays. And I'd rather have HRC than some generic touristy variety of T-shirt as a souvenir.
