Dubrovnik restaurants

Looking for a good restaurant in Dubrovnik with wonderful view of the water or view over the old town. Any recommendations?

Welcome to Flyertalk!

Letiole is a frequent contributor and is in Croatia right now. I'm sure she will post a wonderful trip report and she always seeks out the best restaurants. Not sure when she will be "returning to FT," but look for her posts about Dubrovnik soon.

I have one for you. The Atlas Club which is just outside the city walls and the main gate to the old town. The views are seriously amazing, and they have some really amazingly good food. I was there about 2 yrs ago and loved it but havent been there recently.

We just returned 2 weeks ago & had an amazing meal at Nautika - right to the right of the main city gate entrance. Ask for a table on the terrace - the castle is lit up above you, the sea crashing below - absolutely spectacular! Food was very good - my husband had the broiled lobster - very very expensive, but probably among the best we've ever had (the lobster medallions I ordered weren't nearly as exciting...), escargot good, nice wine list & excellent service, but it's the setting that will blow you away.

In the old town, Rosarij at the far end of the 'restaurant street' that parallels the Placa, was very good. Hope you love this town as much as we did!

See I knew things had changed since I have been there

From reading Brenda's message, I am pretty sure that the new name of Atlas Club is Nautika. Anyhow it is still one of the best locations I could imagine for a restaraunt. Her description is right on.

Have a great trip. I'll be in the area this August, but no DBV for me this time, I'm hitting Sarajevo and Montenegro as well as a little dabble in Belgrade.
