What happened to Chowhound.com?
So, I go off-line for 12 days while I'm on vacation in Hawaii, and when I come back my beloved Chowhound.com has apparently become password-protected--even the home page! What gives? Does anyone know how to get back in?
Sorry to be asking this on FT, another fine website that I am also addicted to...but I'm a little desperate.

there was some very very funny stuff going on, many people could not get on, posts were disappearing, etc etc. I had not heard of the password thing though.
BTW, if you are a poster to Chowhound, copy and paste your item here as it helps.
Too easy to do, I post in multiple places.

Glad to see it's still there. I haven't read it in a while but it seems like a good source.

When they do maintainence on the site, the Admin mode probably asks for password. Anyway, chowhound.com is still the same
