I should re-titled my thread, best airport restaurant in the world (exclude non-US).

Best individual is Stuttgart, where the Top Air restaurant has received a Michelin star for over 20 years.

One of the better domestics is SFO T2, with sit down places like Lark Creek, Napa Farms, Cat Cora, Burger Joint and more.

YVR used to have a very good Chinese restaurant. However I haven't been in that airport for a few years so I can't say if it is still there.

The one before int'l departures? It's been gone the better part of a decade if not more. Rather surprising when you consider how many Chinese airlines fly to/from.

MEM had a BBQ place that everyone raved about. Not sure about its fate since NW dehubbed as a result of DL.

where in yvr was this?

i find the food in yvr is awful like all canadian airport food: cara and hms host garbage. at least you can get a medicore bagel from tims for less than 5 dollars

HND and NRT have good sushi places; HND's Edo Village also has plenty of other decent options. For a small airport (albeit one that probably has on average the most sophisticated passenger demographic in the world), LCY is quite decent.

There is a hawker like food court in T3 basement area I think pre-security.
