i saw that Costco has frozen stone crab - which I’ve enjoyed at joes seafood in Chicago. I definitely will try it in the future. Have you had stone crabs? :-)

yes! They’re definitely a Florida treat. They’re not cheap at Joe’s. In fact when I have gone there, I’ve shared the stone crabs as a shared appetizer. I have NO IDEA why I never just ordered them as an entree for myself. I can get great steakhouse steak in any steakhouse but very few steakhouses have stone crab claws!

Perloo. Many cuisines have one pot rice dishes (risotto, paella, jambalaya, etc), and this is my take on the Carolinas version. No set recipe. I render a few slices of bacon, then throw a diced onion and garlic into the pot to cook in the fat. Add a tin of smoked trout, pieces of salmon and few cups of Carolina Gold rice to the pot for a couple minutes, then add a can of diced tomatoes, a cup or two of peas, four cups of seafood stock, two bay leaves and a teaspoon or two of salt, and simmer, covered, until the rice is tender. |
Calibur Burgers carryout
2 cheese burgers 2 cheddar fries 2 chocolate milkshakes leftover roasted vegetables (onion Brussels sprouts carrots) leftover potatoes (sweet russet and steak fries) leftover king crab legs (still so amazing)
