Alternatives to Chowhound?

One alternative is https://foodtalkcentral.com
I don't really care for this website, but others may feel differently.

I used to love Chowhound so I will take a look at this when I get some time. Hopefully others will post some better alternatives.

FTC has ended up very LA Area-centric. The guy who runs it lives in the Bay Area - but even "up here," it never gained much traction. He started it when Chowhound sold and the site went to poopoodoodookaka. He owned a restaurant in Berkeley for a time.

In Illinois, LTHForum.com is popular (and there's some overlap between FT and LTH users). Although most of the posters are Chicago-based, it's a well-traveled group and I've found it to be invaluable for recommendations when traveling domestically and internationally.

I don't know much about it, but I have stumbled upon https://www.hungryonion.org/ a few times.
