Fear not, at the rate things are going, eventually a pro sports team will be named the Oatmeal Cookies ... and maybe you'll be a fan. (Of course, the Snickerdoodles might protest that ...)

I looked at non dairy milks while at the store this afternoon. I can buy almond milk for $2.50 a half gallon. None of the oat milks were under $5.00. It’s not like we go through it all that fast, but it would have to be way better than almond milk for me today that kind of premium.

I've used soya and oat milk on various occasions but never almond milk. given its not exactly water friendly to grow almonds, i can't imagine I'd buy it willingly.

Billboards for this stuff have started popping up.

I could couldn’t get much of their website to load. I assume they’re based in Nottingham.

Might be your browser? Seems like the site uses sliders, which isn't supported on many older browsers...
According to the website, there are 0 stores nearby where I can buy it... even though it seems to be carried at Whole Foods.

It wouldn’t open on my iPad but did on my iPhone. Possibly differences between IOS versions. Not surprisingly, it’s pea protein which seems to be the foundation of newer meatless products as well.

I just took a look on my iPad and it doesn't work on it... I know it's an older browser that doesn't work with the latest website/browser tech (like sliders).
I wonder if anyone has done a nutritional benefits comparison between all milk and non-milk brands across the board. And pea protein certainly beats pee protein. (?)

Yes, pee protein would demand additional lab tests to discover the source.

I'm just waiting for mycoprotein-based milk... I thought that was the latest craze.

I'll have to look that one up.
Soon they'll be Borg-nanoprobe-based milk.

I’ve been seeing Oatly in Sweden for quite some time, been buying it for too long, but I have never tasted it to my knowledge. Usually pick up a bunch of shelf stable oat milk too, but that’s not Oatly.

Rice milk, almond milk or oat milk? Give me the real milk, from the cow but never the goat or other animals.

Mushroom-based. I think Quorn is the biggest name for the meat replacement... I forget why, but it's not legal here...

I had to look Quorn up.

It would be interesting to know whether the illegality of it here is based on lobbying or for some of the health-related incidents documented in the literature.

If one is allergic to peanuts, one needs to be careful with pea-protein items like milks and meatless products, as the proteins are similar and may cause allergic reactions.
