Spätburgunder

The relatively few times I've happened across a spätburgunder (German pinot noir), it's been rather delightful. Much like a Burgundy but not nearly as expensive. I understand they are difficult to find in the US since the Germans tend to drink them domestically and don't export much. A shame!

That’s why I’ll sometimes bring a case or two back with me when I’m visiting friends there.
