But on the sweet side the Australian Tim Tams (dark chocolate please) are addictive.

Marmite? Hell nay! Same goes for other stuff (e.g. HP sauce, Bovril, ...), that some Brits seem to love.

HP Sauce is absolutely outstanding. Marmite I used to be fed as a youngster on toast. I prefer melted cheese on toast with marmite on top then HP Sauce on too. I am British but lived in the US for 16 years. Fried bull testicles at a fry up in the Midwest opened my eyes to certain American foods. Squirrel brains was another - again I am told by certain Americans they are delicious and the best bit.

Each to their own.

Agreed.

Put me in the Yay column. Nice thick spread of Marmite on toast with cheese and egg on top.

Nay all the way. No amount of butter can tame that awful taste.

Geez you've got good taste.^;)

When I was a kid at primary (elementary) school we used to have lamington drives to raise money for the poor. Everyone's Mum would make their own version and we'd go door to door around the area on a Friday afternoon selling them. We got out of school, it was a good cause and we ate plenty. Win, win, win.
