MealSharing While Traveling

Has anyone tried the site MealSharing.Com while traveling for home-cooked meals? I have a bunch of friends that use it, but I am unsure on how it is. If anyone has used it, please let me know! It looks like a very cool site, but am unsure on some logistics. Thanks!

How can you not be sure about it if you have a bunch of friends who use it? Can't you ask them? Do you distrust your own friends so much that you seek advice from complete strangers instead? Or is this a ruse to promote a service in which you have a financial interest?
