Street food in Chiang Mai was amazing.
Made my first interface with Thai street food on Khao San Road look like crap.
Singapore is one of my favourites - umami-rich laksa, roti prata, oyster omelette and fried carrot cake... Oh how I crave all of those on my next stopover there.

Loved the street food a while back while visiting Seoul. Lots of variety and cheap so enjoyed a walking dinner sampling lots of different delicacies. One street corner vendor with meat skewers had a special sauce that left my lips tingling for a while after downing the chicken & beer items.

From the MRT station walk past the Mister Donut to the street anchored by the excellent Taiwanese fried chicken shop, and keep working your way up that street making sure you stop for fried squid along the way as well as fried chicken, fresh squeezed sugarcane juice and sliced guava (yes you can eat cut fruit sold from a stand here and it's perfectly safe) - along the street is a german-themed dessert cake shop with some nice treats, and a famous dumpling soup shop across from it.
At the top of the street, you can hop a bus to the marina/bridge area to walk around, then take a boat back to the Danshui dock which is the backside of that narrow street - there are many more food stands here including delicious roasted squid (watch out for the ink that can squirt) and a famous local Turkish ice cream shop whose owner loves to have fun teasing customers. You'll see lots of people walking around with super tall soft ice cream cones from various shops, which is a local specialty.
Before getting on the MRT back, stop at Mister Donut - everything they sell blows away Dunkin, Krispy Kreme and even Tim Horton - they're an old US brand that went out of business, but was bought by Japanese investors who reinvented the brand in Asia.

Thanks for the tips; We skipped the squid this time around, but will def try next time. Encountered numerous new fruits. Wish I'd eaten more dragonfruit; At $4-$8 a pop here, too rich for my blood. Had Mister Donut in Japan and wasn't really impressed. Had read the tall ice creams were more gimmicky than tasty. Can't wait to go back.

Was in Seoul earlier this year and the night I arrived (after the 12 hour flight from ORD), we headed to Gwangjang Market for dinner. That was a lot of fun, we sat at a random bimibap stall and a woman made us a wonderful dinner that cost all of a couple of dollars

The sate in Indonesia and Malaysia were amazing. I also thought the fruit and teh tarik (tea) was great. Normally I avoid, but they just seemed clean in those two countries. Zanzibar also has a beach area with street food where all the vendors wear gloves, etc and their Zanzibar Pizza is one of my favorites, but I am nostalgic since my dad is from there.
