London's Heron Tower also has Sushi Samba one floor below.
Johannesburg has Skye Bar - only 9 floors up, but the windows make the most of the view. |
Thanks! Added!

OnTwenty, Hartford: 20th Floor
Open for lunch and sometimes for dinner. It seems like they have an inconsistent schedule and the maitre d' recommended calling ahead to make sure that they were open. Lunch seems to be the best time. The menu looked pretty expensive, and drinks were in the $13 range (IIRC). https://lh6.googleusercontent.com/-4...-%2520Copy.JPG https://lh4.googleusercontent.com/-M...-%2520Copy.JPG https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-K...-%2520Copy.JPG |
The old Revolving 66 restaurant in Hopewell Building in Hong Kong is now View 62.

A "sky"bar in Wenatchee, Washington! It's only the 9th floor, but that is also basically the tallest building in town.

When in Melbourne, Vue de Monde.
55th floor of the Rialto Building. The Rialto used to be the tallest building in Melbourne, but since the much taller Eureka Tower went up in 2006 nobody cares about the Rialto any more so they converted their old observation deck into a restaurant. Consistently rated as one of Australia's best restaurants. $150 for a four-course meal, or $250 for the ten-course degustation. Haven't been there myself yet, but I'm actively looking for an excuse. Come to think of it, there's a restaurant in the Eureka Tower too, it's called Eureka 89 and is on the 89th floor. Higher than Vue de Monde, but much less favourably reviewed. Cheaper though. But if you want cheap food and a good view, pack a sandwich and head for the observation deck. :) |
Thanks Jorgen! Added!
And with that.... 250 restaurants posted in 509 days!!:eek: Yeow! |

Singapore's new Altitude Bar is an amazing rooftop bar. The other amazing rooftop bar is at SwissHotel. IIRC, it's 80 floors to the top. On some nights, they migrate the entire bar to the Helipad.
Kuala Lumpur's (Malaysia) Trader Hotel Sky Bar is breathtaking. It has a perfect view of the world-famous Petronas Towers. I can't remember how many floors up it is, but it's quite a few. Portland (Oregon) has a terrific view from Portland City Grill. I think it's 30 floors up and overlooks the river and the mountain. I'll keep thinking about other ones I've been to. Fun idea! https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-3...728_214145.jpg |
I see Everest in Chicago on this list. Anybody been recently? Considering it.
I can add R2L in Philadelphia to the list, but not with a good recommendation. Great views, lousy food. |
Isn't there a revolving lounge in Jakarta, on Jl. Casablanca or Jl. Gatot Subroto?

think there was a report on FT for burj khalifa bar
