Well, we were all raised on human breast secretion, so I'm not so sure it's a cultural issue.

After downloading the 2011 stallholders .pdf file — which you probably should not view if you have a weak stomach — I notice that in addition to such items as “Cow's Udder Seasoned and BBQ'd to your delight” and “Worm Dukkha” — on which I would pass if offered — there are also such culinary items available as Scallop Kebabs and Fresh Strawberries and Ice Cream.
Now that is more to my taste, although there is a chance that ice cream might include......as one of its ingredients... |

A Parilla close to my apartment in Iquique Chile offers ubres (Cow's Udder). I have not tried it yet, will before I leave. I hear mixed reviews.
This entire thread brings to mind the line attributed to Jonathan Swift, "He was a bold man that first ate an oyster." I'll think I'll just stick to the bird embryos for breakfast. ;) |
Neopolitan? Should there be pistachio, cherry & chocolate?
Call it Spermoni. :D |

Call it Spermoni. :D More information here. It's the new energy drink, although perhaps it would fall into the category of Hors d'œuvre. |
I saw this thread appear in the summary of forums on the main FT forum list, and I know I had to click it. Now I wish I unsaw what I saw and unclicked it.

You know what...I have no one but myself to blame for opening this thread. The title CLEARLY stated what I'd be getting myself into...but yet, sigh...I still had to click.
I'll be honest, I'm intrigued. I'd probably try it...would have to mentally prep myself a little bit, but I'd give it a shot. :) |

Caviar is considered a great delicacy, and while not from horses, it's the female half of the sperm + egg equation. I'm sure many of the people who have posted their utter disgust at the idea of consuming horse semen regularly consume eggs from chickens.

No one has mentioned that they are also offering bull testicles. Ever heard of mountain oysters? ;)
Yum! |
