The Best Wings Place?

I have just started going to a place called wildwings and omg they have some of the best hot wings I have ever had. I would like to know what is your favorite wings place?

WildWings is in Colorado near Fort Carson they are branching out but I think they are mainly just for colorado at the moment.

If anyone that enjoys wings makes it to NYC with some time to kill, shoot to Westchester. There is a little hole in the wall place called Candlelight Inn, in Scarsdale on Central Ave, 10 or so tables, a bar, no CC's only cash. Amazing wings, best I've ever personally had.

Yup. Great place. Can be a little "rough-around-the-edges", so don't go expecting much. Bikers welcome.

And WildWings - is that akin to the chain "Buffalo WildWings"? If so, it's okay. I wouldn't put it up there next to Anchor Bar or even Candlelight.

I think the OP is talking about a different chain, called Wild Wings n' Things. I've never actually had their wings but their sandwiches are pretty good and they have some very good fries.

I think Tuesdays are $.25 wing nights.

At home....

Disjoint segments, discarding tips.
Brine in salt water overnight (in ref)
Drop in a marinade of butter milk and cheap hot sauce for at least two hours.
Put a mixture of flour, garlic powder and Caceres Cajun Seasoning in a brown paper bag.
Drop in a few wings, shake then...
Fry in a cast iron skillet in 1" of good vegetable oil at 350F, turning often until golden brown.
Better'n store-boughts.
(And works well for drum sticks which are cheaper and meatier, and chicken tender "strips" which fry very quickly)

The standard blue cheese dressings OK, but we prefer a thick Raeta made with finely chopped cucumber.

There Is No "Best" Wings Place

It's a subjective judgment. Different people like different things. That's why there's a "YMMV" acronym.

There is no "best" wings place any more than there's a single "best" for any food or drink.

What you want to ask or answer is "who do you think makes good/great wings?"

You had me until the part about the flour. No wing should ever have a flour coating. But, clearly, YMMV.

We recently (finally!) went to the Anchor Bar in Buffalo. The wings were fantastic.
