Vosges Haut Chocolate

I noticed Vosges Haut-Chocolate in Term 1 at O'Hare. Very nice displays, any reviews on just how good the chocolate is? have stopped and looked but never purchased, would probably buy the single bars, at what price? I believe this is a local chocolate company?

Yes, it's a Chicago-based company. They are well known for their flavored chocolate bars (dark chocolate and bacon is one of the more unusual). I love their Oaxacan bar with chillies. They sell some very small sampler bars at the airport. If you're wondering, why not buy a few of those as it's a cheap way to sample the chocolates and then if you like them buy larger bars or boxes of truffles.

I like Vosges OK

but of the "premium" chocolate brands it is my least favorite. it's good, don't get me wrong, but once they expanded all over the quality went down compared to other premium brands IMHO.

It's fine but no better than Lindt or the house brands at Trader Joe's or
World Market. And not so good as the name brands.

Thanks to you guys above for the information. I am not a Lindt fan, but do like Trader Joes, especially there dark chocolate carmels that come in the tub, my mouth is watering, my preference is dark chocolate, so when I am at O'Hare on Friday, I will try one of the smaller bars and see how it tastes, See's candies dark is still my overall favorite so far.

Vosges is...okay in the realm of expensive chocolate. It certainly has some interesting bars, better than the standard airport Lindt or Ghiradelli stuff.

Vosges is overrated and overpriced.

My favorite bar of chocolate is Valrhona 71% at Trader Joe's which sells for $2.99.

I've enjoyed some of the Vosges caramels, and the toffee, more than the chocolate bars.

Agreed. I don't care that much for their chocolate. There are much better ones out there.

I don't, but those places also offer chocolate bars of a finer quality (at a higher tariff though) than Vosges.
