Favorite drinks in Hotel Bar

If they serve Budweiser I'll go for it, If not any light beer will do.

Depends on location and property for me.

Any Sofitel, if it's warm, makes me order a Pastis, although some US properties don't know what that is!?!

In Scotland it is always some single malt or another, but thew must be obscure Islay for me to be happy.

In Northern Europe it is always some kind of Schnapps or Gin.

I'm a very light drinker (maybe two or three mixed drinks per month), so a basic rum and Diet Coke is fine by me

Always gin and tonic for me - with a twist of lemon.

I don't order my at-home favorite, Jack and Coke, in hotel bars because it's too easy for bartenders to short the alcohol. I get martinis, or if I'm not so focused on alcohol intake citrus-vodka and tonics.

Very few hotel bars stock my favorite vodka, Absolut Kurant. If they do I order it neat.

Normally I'll just go with a bottle of Corona. However, I got stuck in CLT overnight last December. Was sitting in the hotel bar, and got chatting to the bartender. I used to do some bar work, so we were swapping stories. I gave the bartender some champagne cocktail ideas for their New Years Eve party, and she gave me a few free drinks, including making me one of my favourite drinks, the Lethal: Dark rum, tequila, triple sec, lime juice, sprite.

Cosmo if they can make it pale, or a glass of wine from their wine list

A Kiwi is an excellent choice for me! Banana liqueur, strawberry liqueur and orange juice. It's easy to drink too many though as they are so good.

Basil muddled in simple syrup topped with Stoli Strawberry vodka, shaken, and served in a martini glass with a piece of basil for garnish.

This drink has a special place in my heart as it was created at a hotel bar in my honor and named after me.

Good, but I couldn't handle more than one.

Like missy's back yard. Where itsaboutthejourney made a mean batch of mojitos.

Personal hotel favorite: It's Not Your Father's Old Fashioned at AiZia in The Westin Diplomat.

Glenlivet on the rocks pre-dinner or a Baileys on the Rocks after dinner/before bed.

Plus, if somewhere tropical, a good mojito.

Gin martini at the Dukes hotel in London.

Other hotels usually a malt or a dirty vodka martini.
