Thumbs up Food Revolution

Everyone concerned about the declining quality of American food should watch Jamie Oliver's Food Revolution on ABC-TV - Friday nights in April w/repeats on Saturday. A truly wonderful and informative reality show. Most of this show concerns the diets in American school lunch programs.

The sad part is Sandra Lee still is hawking her show and crap.

The head lunch lady on this show makes me sick.

I wonder if she'd feed that industrial waste to her own children. If she's a cook, I'm a freaking 3 michelin star chef.

People complaining the loudest about school lunches obviously never stood in the cafeteria line at Sanger Ave. Elementary back in 1946. Until you've heard the nasty "Splatt" canned spinach makes in a steel mess tray, you don't know school food.

I still have nightmares featuring the bread slice turned as green as the mold on its crust from the overflowing spinach juice. To this day, the mere sight of a pineapple ring and maraschino cherry atop a piece of "Upside Down" cake still makes me repress a gag reflex and raise the red flag of rebellion.
