2009 : How do you want to track bugs and request features?

so its a new year, and there has been some discussion about how best to handle the subject. so far the suggestion has been to have two threads: one to track bug fixes and feature additions and another to report bugs and request features. there is the option to do four threads, if some don't care about the features (or vice versa).

i don't want Canarsie to add a poll just yet as feel someone might have another option. how many people subscribe to threads for email notification? rss?

When you do want for me to add a poll, just let me know.

Maybe a sticky at the top of the forum called "Report your Delta.com bugs here"?

That and/or we could PM you?

In addition to tracking bugs in those four threads, I've seen other threads reporting rodents in CRC's; lets track mice in a single thread.

(and I've seen birds in terminals in at least four different countries...)

I have never had PMS.

Seriously a sticky would be nice for reporting along with the list of fixes perhaps updated in the first post so we know where things stand. Can this be a place for suggestions as well?

yes, updated in the first post, and as in many stickies, reserve the second and third post for future use.

I think suggestions should be a second thread, to avoid confusion.

Separate threads would be fine as many complaints (oops I meant bugs) have to do with the award calendar.

However there are other areas of DL.com that could stand some consistency checks (i.e. itineraries). Suggestions for the site in general would be useful.

alright, i've started the four threads discussed:

2009 : Delta.com Bug Tracking - to be made a sticky
2009 : Delta.com Bug Reporting
2009 : Delta.com Feature Requests - sticky?
2009 : Post your delta.com feature requests here

sorry for the delay. life has been a bit hectic over the last two weeks or so.

Ok - what is the use of these threads? You have known about the award calendar bug for a long time now and Delta still hasnt fixed it. Now you want a whole thread dedicated to bugs, that too as a sticky - why?

actually i just posted in the award calendar broken thread with an update on the status of it. the above 4 threads are the result of the above discussion along with this thread that had all of them lumped into one. most found one thread was way too much. so one thread is just for tracking bugs (all, not just the award calendar) and one for tracking feature requests. both will not have discussion. the other two are for reporting & requesting with discussion for those interested. the sticky aspect is at the request of FT members.
