Exactly as described above, you get an Email, go to the NWA website and click on the changes you'd like to approve or even choose from a list of alternative flights at no cost. I'm glad they're choosing the NW IT team after the merger, it's hard enough to see our valuable NW miles disappear.

No changes yet for my FLL-ATL-MKE trip in December.

This is Delta. The schedule is forever changing. I learned to quit trying to cope with this a long time ago. Unless you book farely short term, odd are you won't be flying on the aircraft you booked or at the times you booked.

My 12/5 ATL-IAD changed from an RJ to the 757-200 transcon! 25 of the 26 F seats are free right now, so even though I'm an FO with a T ticket I'm crossing my fingers... if not, the 19F exit row is still fine for the short flight...

BDA-ATL also had a change of equipment... had to change my seat but thanks to the seatmap redesign I could only access my return flights for some reason. Not a fan!

Edited to add: All of my other ex-BDA flights this year have had changes, either equipment or a 10-minute schedule tweak. My 33-minute connection in BOS is now 32 minutes and I leave RDU 10 minutes earlier. Let's see if I can get them to change me to the ATL flight...

I agree. I just keep a weekly watch on my flights to make sure I don't get bumped out of decent seats into crummy ones.

:( Well I called this evening and the best the agent would offer me was a later flight and shorter connection, but anything else and she said she would charge me a fee.

I guess I'll try the old ft strategy of hanging up and calling again later.

^ Success, finally! Called today and the agent was great. Got an earlier time that I wanted, but decided to not be greedy and ask for an airport change.

I'm not sure which call center I spoke with yesterday, but I think it was CVG today, and the agent was very nice and helpful.

As the Guiness ads would say: Brilliant!!

Glad you got the flight you wanted. ^

I have a great agent help me on Saturday. I had one of my flights (ATL-SAN) by about 50 mins, and then we would have gotten home after 11pm, so I asked if we could be moved up to the 2pm from PBI-ATL and the 6:40 ATL-SAN and it was "no problem". I love how much DL will accomodate when they change the schedule. I just try to be really nice and it always seems to work for me.

Some were major, but the ones that just loaded this weekend were differences of 5 minutes, and everything makes sense. I suppose this is to prevent people from saying "Flights are fine" when the flyer doesn't review them thoroughly and doesn't notice a misconnect...

Well, you can always NOT CALL. I know it's crazy, but if the the flights are several months away, you can just wait a few months and then call and have DL clean it up all at once. You don't HAVE to call every week.

Here's my recent experience fixing a DL schedule change around Thanksgiving: http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/showthread.php?t=871372

flight number changes also

I am confused about the flight numbers too, In November it looks like flight 403 goes from DFW from ATL but right now that flight goes from El Salvador to ATL

Horizons Oct 7, 2008 10:28 am

I had four November 2008 itineraries change yesterday. (I got emails on 3 of them, and just when I thought the fourth one was safe, I got a call during lunch from a Delta agent.)

On the first 3, I had difficulty going in and choosing seats on the new flights; Delta.com wouldn't even show me seat charts. When I called, they said that often the records are not "cleaned up" and still show prior flight information along with the new booking. This will prevent anyone from making changes on the web. The agent offered to clean up the record I was having trouble with, and then offered to look at my remaining itineraries and scrub them, too.

One interesting thing she said was that Delta will be taking a hard look at its schedule and equipment every week from now through the end of the year in an effort to pare costs, and making changes basically every Saturday. Oh, great.

What the heck does this mean? I hope you're merely saying that they'll be converted into Delta SkyMiles, which have a different value to you.

Delta sure as heck better not be planning to wipe out our WorldPerks balances, since some of us have more than 2 million in there.

I received a similar warning as well. Maybe I could still hope for a drastic change and I could switch from BWI to DCA. Otherwise, I'm pretty happy with the changes I got so far.
