using experflyer?
can you search flying into one airport and departing from another? I see only roundtrip search.

My first reaction was "yes, try 2 one ways".
But then that wouldn't give you a properly priced open jaw, would it?
Most of us use EF to look for award or upgrade availability, not pricing on open jaws. I assume you are NOT looking for pricing on open jaw itineraries?
If you are just checking for award or upgrade availability, 2 searches for both one ways should help you find the routing you want with seats available for award or upgrade.

thanks, it is a great tool, wife and I found 2 skysaver to Europe leaving in 4weeks, both non-stops out of ATL. It was quick and then went straight to delta.com to book.
