Any way to get the reg # for a flight I was just on?
I like to keep a log of all the aircraft I fly on, but I was unable to catch the reg. # for my SLC-RDU DL 992 flight on 3/16. Is there a way to find out?
Thanks!
Thanks!

Hmmm...good question. I'll check and see if I can find it when I
get to work this morning. I'm sure it'll be in the computer somewhere.

Thanks so much! I typed it into Airlines.net search engine and it came back with N385DN, which I assume is the correct N number.

Tail 3715 is N385DN, a 737-832, originally delivered November 1999.

I usually just look back at the plane once I'm off the jetbridge, in the terminal. I found that to be the most effective ways of getting the reg #'s of flights I was just on...

Sometimes that's nearly impossible at night, especially when the only window is really far away. Most of the time I manage. I've noticed on British Airways 747's, they have the reg. # written inside on the doors.

The one sure-fire place to find it is on the airworthiness certificate and registration certificates which are required to be in view of all passengers. They're usually posted just inside the cockpit door on the left wall as you enter the cockpit. You might look a little weird deciding to examine them for yourself...but they can't really stop you...
Airlines often post them in other places to, but it varies from airline to airline.
They're also required to be posted in 12 inch letters on the side of the plane...
