Am I doing something wrong?

I was looking into the possibility of using my Delta skymiles to book a flight on Continental. I know I'll ultimately have to call to do that but was looking into possibilities first before calling.

Anyway, when I go to the Continental site and search for BHM-EWR (depart on 9/16; return on 9/19), the flights that show up have nothing but the 50,000 and 45,000 mile redemptions. However, the calendar at the top is lit up green (which is suppose to mean Standard Economy). It's that way for every day that week. The calendar is grenn all week long, but there are no 25,000 mile redemptions.

Of course, I'm not logged in since I don't have a Continental miles account. Is that the problem, or am I doing something wrong? Thanks in advance.

Welcome to FT Chris10!

This should really be addressed in the CO forum since it is a specific question to COs website.
As you said, you should just call DL to see what is available. You can also check out the NWA Japan website, which is mentioned in the sticky at the top of the page (how to book an award).

Welcome to FT, Chris10. If you're flying out of BHM, you might fare better on DL alone or with a mixed carrier trip. DL will have more flights originating from BHM than CO, I think, although nothing direct to EWR if that's your final destination.

I think the Continental calendar search function has known issues. I've seen that problem.

I actually thought the skymiles search had a similar problem until I realized that you can get multiple pages of results on a search, and the skysaver choices were coming up on page 2 or even 3....

Well, for starters, you are using inadequate thread titles. Try something more desciptive like, "Am I doing something wrong with award search function on CO.com?"

Does Delta require a Saturday night stay for a standard reward? This looks like a Sunday - Wednesday trip.

DL does not....but CO does require a Sat. night stay for the 25K award. That may be the issue here.
