DL & Amex, Exclusive?

DL & Amex, Exclusive?
I had thought the deal with Amex & DL was an exlusive for DL and Amex could not offer airlines credit cards in the US. Was this just a dream of mine?
Today a noffer came from Amex for an AA Amex Card along with 25K bonus miles . Appears to be a no level card (not gold or plat) so I guess more will be on the way to my schredder soon.

There's been a JetBlue Amex for a while now but I hadn't heard of the AA Amex (and can't find it on aa.com or americanexpress.com).

I forgot other banks were starting to issue Amexes. Nice.

There has been a Corporate AA Amex for quite some time. So Amex has had a relationship with AA long predating the new non-Amex-issued AA cards.
