Medallion Card #?

As you receive your cards and credentials, I would be curious to compare the 6 digit number at the bottom left - is this a SM/GM/PM serial #? TSA watch list? Code for your favorite drink at the CRC?

Well, we can't compare the numbers unless someone says what they are.

Since I don't know what's encoded in it, I'm not sure I want to post the actual number, but it starts like this:

0110##

Perhaps it simply means it was the 11 thousandth+ card to be printed? Or perhaps they're numbered in decending order of "value to Delta"--I requalified by < 200 miles last year.

This seems like a possibility. How about a few of us posting our numbers (you can withold the last two digits to keep it semi-private) along with the number of base miles flown last year.

Card 0241##, ~48,000 base miles

There are additional mystery numbers on the top of my letter from Patrice -- by the way, the irony of her last name just hit me -- but I can't figure out what they could be either.

From #0291**....(BMs' last year = 108 K. Seems like a lot of BMs, if you know what I mean)

Perhaps the first 2 digits are for a year, for example the first year of qualification...though until we see some 98s or 94s (or whatever) who knows.

Mine starts with 18.
I'm thinking a 'check' number, similar to the one on the front of the AmEx or in the signature strip of the VI/MC.

What seems really strange is that they put this code of some sort on the cards but NOT our SM number! Not that I have my new card yet...

my card arrived Sat. Number is 0062** I had 152,000 base miles last year. I must say though, if the card was any thinner it could be replaced by cardboard.

New PM card arrived some time this week while I was traveling on the expired card. It's 0116XX. Base miles in 2002...102,300.
Perhaps the numbering system has something to do as well with whether or not it's an FO/GM/PM card.
