Question Coach Meal - "Refreshments"??!

Traveling to Aruba from ATL with my son and wife. My DL ATL-AUA flight shows the Coach Meal as "Refreshments". Normally, they do not show anything under there if its only a beverage service. What is the difference? Is alcohol served free since its technically an international flight? Or do they provide some light meal options??
Thanks a bunch!!

International flights on Delta don't give free alcohol. Not sure what "refreshments" is, but I wouldn't think it's much!

"Refreshments" = non-alcoholic beverages and item(s) from the Snack Basket*. No free alcohol. No meal.

*Snack Basket
Sun Chips® Multigrain Snacks

Quaker® Granola Bars

King's™ Peanuts

Old Colony® Big Top™ Animal Crackers

Lance® Sandwich Crackers

Because that wouldn't look very good. "Yeah, it's a 4-hour flight, and there's no food" is worse than "we'll serve refreshments."

A normal beverage service does not include the full snack basket I think. Believe me, when you are starved and no time to get something before boarding, the snack basket is a welcome sight compared to a tiny bag of peanuts.

I've seen "refreshments" listed in coach on trans-con flights. In that case, refreshments = snack pack (currently 4 wheat crackers, smoked gouda cheese, trail mix, and a shortbread biscuit) at the beginning of the flight, and a choice from the snack basket (pretzels, cheese & crackers, humongo-biscoff, granola bar, or peanuts). I wish they'd bring back the sun chips!

And a 'snack' in F on a 6:30+ flight leaving at noon SLC-KOA: half a turkey wrap, a little corn/bean salad, and a pre-packaged brownie.

Not true at all. Even in the horrifying transcon In-flight Cafe boxes in F days, the meals were not that bad.
