Triple Miles For Travel on Comair; Comair Will Resume Service to 51 Additional Cities in July
Comair today announced that SkyMiles® members will earn triple miles for qualifying Comair flights booked between June 28, 2001, and July 31, 2001, and flown by July 31, 2001. Delta (NYSE: DAL - news) is offering the bonus to recognize passengers' loyalty and patience while Comair temporarily suspended its operations.
SkyMiles members will receive triple the actual miles flown or 1,500 miles for each segment flown, whichever is greater. The bonus will be automatically applied to the member's account and is valid for paid travel on qualifying Comair routes. Customers with reservations for travel on Comair during the SkyMiles bonus promotional period that were booked prior to June 28, 2001, will qualify for this bonus.
Initially, Comair will serve 26 cities on July 2, 2001, with at least one flight per day. The following are tentative start-up dates only and are subject to change:

CINCINNATI, July 2 /PRNewswire/ -- Comair resumed service today at 7:10 a.m. as its first flight departed from the airline's hub at Greater Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky International Airport, bound for Nashville, Tenn.
``This is a great day for our customers and our employees. This is an important first step in putting Comair in a position to take on the competition and give our customers the service they deserve,'' said Comair President Randy Rademacher.
