Double AMEX points for July and August?

This was posted in the May Skymiles Insider online:

Whatever you're doing this summer, chances are you can double your fun
when you use your Delta SkyMiles Credit Card from American Express.

From July 1 to August 31, 2005, you can earn double miles on practically all summertime activities, like dining al fresco, riding a roller coaster with the kids, or dancing in the aisles at an outdoor concert. And don't worry if it rains—you can also earn double miles at the movies, the ballet, the mall, and even at home when you shop online.

Visit American Express for terms and conditions and to enroll today.

However when you click on the link to take you to Amex to enroll, it tells you that the promo was over in April. It just may be that Amex has not yet updated the enrollment page. I emailed them.

If this works out to be genuine, and I bet it will, then April will have been the only month in the first 8 of this year without any bonuses on the Delta Amex (beyond the Always Double Miles). And no reason to expect there won't be further bonuses later in the year. Now we know what Amex is doing with all those Skymiles they bought last year.

When clicking on this link I get to the Double Your Fun with Double Miles Delta page, which states "Visit American Express for terms and conditions and to enroll today".

That American Express link takes you to a Promotion Expired page.

Is this what you are getting as well? MC

Yes, that is what I get, also. Maybe we are just getting ahead of Amex, since the promotion doesn't start until July1.

I hope so, cause the page also states "This promotion ended on April 15, 2005". Hopefully this is left over from the previous promotion. I would hate to think that you would need to sign up for July's promotion in April.....MC

Well, the American Express link has now been corrected to say that the promotion registration will begin June 1, 2005. We will have to remember to sign up then.

June 15 to end of Month

Could anyone please give me a link for double miles for the period from June 15 to the end of the Month? I think amex.com/deltaenroll used to point to that tiime period and now has switched over to the July. PLMK if you've the link. Thanks!

These promos every month keep me from using the starwood card. Too bad the bonus is limited to 10,000 miles. I'm getting married in August and would have really cleaned up without this restriction.

I didn't see the restriction. Darn! I'm using my card quite a bit lately, and I love these double miles, too.
