One Flight = Silver Medallion

Check out GLeff's blog today. One of the best offers I have ever seen!

Ok, FT Members, can you help me find the cheapest, same day RT from Charlotte that will allow me to qualify for this offer? Live in ATL. My plan is to drive to Charlotte and make it back the same day. Don't care where I go...just looking for a cheap ticket.

Anyone want to join me for a road trip?

Talk about devaluing the SM elite level. I feel a lot of sympathy for those who earned their SM status the hard way.

It says "any paid flight" from any of the 14 cities.

I'm not sure Silver Medallion is worth even this minimal effort.

I had good luck with Silver at the beginning of this year (7 of 8 for upgrades!). Alas, my status ran out at the end of February. I may take a same-day run to one of these places if I can find an acceptable fare. otherwise I won't reattain status until late in the year.

Found a RT from ATL - CHT for $67 each way.

Since I live in ATL (and typically fly DL), priority boarding may be worth it alone.

Exclamation Read the fine print

This only gets you Silver until Feb of next year. Those who made Silver already the traditional way (like me) are that level (or higher, obviously) until Feb of 07.
