Business Class (X) Atlanta - Cancun

I'm travelling to Cancun on business - in business class - this week Thursday. The itinerary says X class, but the seat map looks like a standard domestic 763 ship.

What type of plane is this. Will the quality be about the same as domestic F, or is X to Mexico any better than what we're getting as we schlep it around the states?

For some unknown reason, X class is the designation DL uses for business class to Mexico. It's identical to the FC service and seating on domestic flights. If there's any upside, X class scores 1.5 MQM's.
Enjoy your trip!

Has Cancun recovered from the hurricane? I heard they got hammered pretty hard...

X is not in the chart for the MQM multiplier, but being a BC fare, why wouldn't it be 2x?

It's all a marketing thing. I am sure it is used to manipulate those companies policies that bill pay for "business" class to an international destination but never the greater "First" class, regardless of the price.
