BOS - SLC in an A220??
When I booked this flight was in an A321neo as DL usually runs on this segment. Just checked my flight later today and it’s now on an A220. This is almost a 5.5 hr flight and should have a warm meal service in F.
Has anyone seen DL us their A220s for routes this long? Do they still offer a warm meal?

DL routinely flies SEA-IAD on A223s; SEA-IAD is 200 miles longer than SLC-BOS. The A220s do have ovens and you should still get a hot meal as long as you're not one of the unlucky 8 who loses their F seat.

This might well be a plus. You’ll not only have hot meals but now also have the option to pre-select your meal, since flights on the A321NEO don’t.

In First the seat is a bit smaller than on the A321 and the under seat storage is almost non-existent but with 12F seats you get pretty good attention from the FA - and they do have ovens and provide hot meals in F.

When is your flight booked for? Seems pretty strange to me for DL to be flying a A220 BOS-SLC... also due to the capacity. Its a typically busy route and the flights are normally full... going from a 321 to a 220-300 is a reduction of 61 seats.
Also, DL lists the 220-300 range at 2460mi, while BOS-SLC is almost that much. Seems to be max range for this airframe and doesn't allow for other issues like headwinds which are common for this route etc.

Air Baltic is flying them well over 2,900. B6 & AC are running routes like BOS-SJC & YUL-SFO. The C-Series was even designed for potential LCY-JFK route as all J config to replace BA's A318s on that route.

I recently flew LGA-IAH, which is 1,417 miles direct (according to flightwaware.com). The flight took over 3:30 due to 100+ mph headwinds. We had three meal options, including a hot beef lasagna. With only 12 F seats, you should have a good experience (BOS-SLC is shown as 2,102 miles direct).
