Bag Replacement Question

Bag Replacement Question

Hello,
My bag was damaged on a recent international flight with Delta where I am guessing the bag was sent off something skidding across the ground. I submitted the claim and they wrote back with options for replacement. The few options on the list have the wheels protruding out so far that I feel like as soon as i use this and have to check it they are going to get tore right off again. The bag i bought that was damaged i got with low profile wheels to aid in preventing this as it has happened in the past where it gets tore off. The bag is a Sigma 6. I am wondering what peoples opinions are of this bag and am i to concerned or can i write back to see about other options?

If you have proof of purchase and it wasn't too long ago (they do pay less for older bags) you can ask for them to pay for the bag so you can buy a new one. I did this with a Rimowa check in L and just needed to send them my proof of purchase.

Thanks for the reply. Sadly I do not have the receipt as the bag was a gift early part of the year. I know they would have to go on my word but I had only used it 3 times since so it was brand new. Maybe this is my only option?

I would push for full replacement as it is less than a year old and provide them with the quote to replace it from the manufacturer (including tax)
