Gift Silver - Rollover Benefits Question

Gift Silver - Rollover Benefits Question
I'm considering the use of my 2024 Choice Award to gift Silver Med to 2 family members. My question is:
They will.be Silver until 1/31/25 by way of the "gift". Will ALL 2023 MQM rollover to 2024 program since they are gifted Silver for 2024 even if they don't get to 25,000 MQM in calendar 2023? They will get to over 25,00 MQM in 2024 if the 2023 rollover occurs. Thanks.

Rollover MQMs are calculated based on "earned" status, and not based on "gifted" status. So, in this scenario no MQMs from 2023 would roll over into 2024.

Correct, it's the same as the lifetime status for Million Milers. Even though they have the status, they get no MQM rollover unless they hit 25k.

You actually did gift status, you are gifting the 'benefits' of the status
