Extra-special bonus: The new app is a battery hog too, at least on iOS. It now shows up regularly as one of my "top 4" battery consuming applications. The old one was never close.

Why is this new MyTrips interface so HORRID and missing features, and DL is doing nothing about it?

I can't even find where to request or change a medallion upgrade with the new interface... it doesn't appear to exist like the check boxes on the old interface unless it is buried in some obscure combination of menu navigation and clicks that make no sense.

Also if I have a upgrade cert waitlisted, there is zero indication that anything is actually requested/waitlisted in the new interface. The old one shows a line of text "Upgrade Status:Upgrade Waitlisted" below the 'manage complimentary upgrades' link but this simply doesn't exist on the new mytrips.

It also shows many flight status as "unknown", though on the web site (if you can get the old UI to come up, which is getting harder and harder) it says "confirmed".

Latest update to the Delta app brings back the ability to view the Upgrade/Standby list for both flights in a round-trip ticket! Can't believe they actually listened to some of the feedback.

The latest enhancement I love the most is the tab that now says “aircraft details” Once clicked it shows the flight length and onboard meal services, but nowhere does it list the actual aircraft - which the name of the tab would imply… Oh Delta. Who’s in charge of this stuff, how about a focus group or something to help the incompetent execs at HQ.

Yeah, looks like 5.33 fixes a couple of the more obnoxious behaviors / UI failings. Worth the upgrade but still a long way to go…

has anyone noticed seat maps showing all seats in all cabins occupied starting at ~30 minutes before departure even when the UG/standby list shows available seats? not sure if this is an app update or something DL is masking on the backend to prevent customers from switching seats before departure.

it's nice to see a misconnect or cancellation free up a good seat and snag it right before getting on the plane, seems like that's not a thing anymore.

Yes I noticed this recently as well even if there are tons of seats everything showed as blocked off. I figured it was just another nice bug/feature of the new crap mytrips.

They still did not fix the cached/refresh issue however where the app still frequently displays old stale data from trips that are already done, or doesn't display trips I booked in the last few days unless I force refresh multiple times and wait forever for it to try to update.

I’m just one of those people who likes to understand thought process. It’s killing me right now seeing this new
my trips. It sucks so bad. I keep wondering why delta would possibly make this change. Trip after trip I’m still hating it.
