Lost baggage

Flew ATL-CDG-MAA 2 days ago. Business class ticket. Both the flights were AF operated, delta marketed flights.One bag was loaded and I got it, but one bag is lost. Called Delta, they are saying it is still in Origin City ATL. How do I expedite it? How much incidental expenses am I allowed till I get the baggage? Thanks for the help

Since AF delivered you to your destination, all lost bag responsibility is on AF. They should reimburse for reasonable purchases of item, including clothing, that you need in the meantime, but you're at the mercy of AF policies subject to regulations.

You need to report the missing bag to AF, if you haven't already done so. It can be helpful to have your hotel concierge call the local AF lost bag service in the local language at your arrival airport IME. It's the responsibility of AF to deliver the bag to your hotel (or whatever); you don't need to return to the airport to collect it.

Thank you. I called Delta since they issued the ticket. Will email AF.

Always file with last carrier you flew. Even if moved to another carrier in IRROPS.

Did you file a report at airport? You need to do this before exit customs. There can be issues in some countries if paperwork is not filled out. (Airline won't be able to clear bag through customs)

I believe AF you can file a report online.

I think your post about contacting DL is causing confusion. AF is who you deal with and who pays. It doesn't matter if AF never got bags from DL.

Ok. I understand. My frustration is AF in MAA sucks. I did fill an online form with AF website,. but seems no progress. Haven't heard any info neither from AF website query or AF MAA team. So I thought may be call diamond desk since delta issued the ticket. Looks like delta can't help here and I need to keep following with AF. Thank you.

I dont stay in a hotel. I own an apartment. Called and spoke to AF this morning at MAA. They are trying to track the location.
