I haven't been through Terminal A in a while, though delta.com lists the satellite sky club as open.

I was in the Terminal A Satellite right after Christmas and could see that the 2nd half was all completed and looked ready to have people in it, just not open yet.

Years ago Delta was selling DCA-BOS-FCO with a 35 minute connecting time, with the onward flight being on Alitalia metal and leaving from Concourse E. My wife bought this routing, and then after talking with me came to the realization that this trip was not doable, as she had a minimum 15 minute walk between her gate in A and concourse E, and then having to reclear security over there. When she called Delta, the first reservationist she spoke to refused to change her ticket to an earlier flight out of DCA without payment of a large change fee. My wife demanded to speak to a supervisor, who then made the change without penalty.,
Like with flights out of Terminal 1 at JFK, I don't know why DL doesn't run an airside shuttle between these two distant, unconnected buildings to accomodate its passengers.

I think it's been answered earlier in the thread but given how Logan is laid out to bus airside from A to E you have to go the long way around all of B and C before getting to E, so it's probably easier to just walk through the parking garage landside

I suspect it will be done at E.
If they start an airside bus they could have folks check in at A and take the bus over to E (like what they currently do at LAX), but why put up signs landside saying those flights depart from E if that's the plan?

Boy do I miss the Clubhouse. AF lounge is pretty bad (mediocre food, no windows, crowds). Really hope there will be an alternative for DL pax because this lounge is packed to the gills.

That AF lounge is honestly the pits (not that any of the AF lounges in the US are notable). Hopefully DL is working on some contingency plan for lounge access.

This is honestly just as bad of a problem - the AF Boston lounge is up there with the worst, if not the worst, airline-run international-servicing lounges in the US. The VX Clubhouse is much nicer, but it's also pretty tiny (not to say the AF one isn't). I can't imagine VX will be thrilled at the idea of doubling or tripling attendance given Delta runs BOS-AMS at roughly the same time as VX's BOS-LHR (although VX and DL are seemingly always switching flight slots from BOS). AF works right now because their BOS-CDG is slightly earlier.

Am really curious as to what the plans are from DL for lounge and check in support here. Really poor if they're just going to have a couple ticket agent terminals open for DL. The AF lounge is a dump compared to the skyclubs in A... not to mention the entire security process in E - no precheck or clear. Plus the rest of the terminal is just old and outdated with minimal amenities and limited seating area by the gates.
Agree VX lounge is nice however much too small to accommodate this change.
Also for those who didn't hear, the mininum check in time for luggage in BOS has increased to 40 min.

The 'grand extension' to E is too little too late at this point though (thats a whooooole different discussion), and it does nothing to help this situation with DL using E for departures.
