Seat Maps from Europe Not Avaialable

Flying AMS-ATL in a couple of days and can’t pull up seat maps out of AMS on any flight back to the states. Same for tomorrow and flights out of CDG. Same result in both app and website. Odd.

Are these flights on DL metal? Or KLM/AF?

Not odd at all. Flights ex-AMS/CDG are handled by KL/AF. Handoff happens around 48 hours before flight.

Knew they weren’t handled by DL staff but pulling the maps offline is routine?

You should be able to see them using the AF/KLM app and/or website

Is this true for all DL flights exEU or just exAMS and exCDG?

Yes for AF/KL. Once inside T-48 AF/KL only shows seat map once you're checked in for flight. Just how their systems work.

This is annoying if you want to check if a better seat is available.

Yeah same is true for all AF/KL flights. Till checked in can't see the seat map. You can't even see it/select a seat while making a new purchase if within the T-48 cutoff. You have to wait till checkin to see it.
