status challenge

Trying to decipher the pages of terms/conditions.

If I fly codeshare ie booking Delta.com and flying KLM for example internationally, will that attract the full bonus offers? Extra baggage seems to suggest domestic only and no reference to Skyteam partners. Relevant to me is extra baggage and lounge access. I would be status qualified as Gold from BA Silver OneWorld.

Dummy booking on Delta with codeshare marked Delta flights with one leg upgraded with a ticket price of $1280 USD gives me around 16,000 SQM and because I am not US based it appears I would be qualified on that alone.

You'll get the relevant Class of Service MQM bonus, if any, but you will not get the 50/75% status accelerator MQM bonus on anything operated by non-DL.

From https://www.delta.com/us/en/skymiles...on-acceleratorOffer: SkyMiles Members (“Members”) will receive a 50% bonus of Medallion Qualification Miles (“MQMs”), Medallion Qualification Segments (“MQSs”) and Medallion Qualification Dollars (“MQDs”) on paid and Award Travel tickets booked in Basic Economy or Main Cabin on flights that are both marketed (flight number begins with ‘DL’) and operated by Delta, Delta Connection carriers or Delta Shuttle (“Delta Carriers”) and are flown during the Promotional Period.

Members will receive a 75% bonus of MQMs, MQS and MQDs on paid and Award Travel tickets booked in a Delta Comfort+, First Class, Delta Premium Select or Delta One (“Premium Cabins”) on flights that are both marketed and operated by Delta and are flown during the Promotional Period. Travel that is booked before, but flown during, the Promotional Period is eligible for these bonuses. bonuses on qualifying flights flown between April 1, 2021 and May 15, 2021, may take until May 31, 2021 to appear in the Member’s SkyMiles account.

You should get Elite Plus benefits during the 90 days, which is 1 extra bag (piece concept) or 20kg extra (weight concept). For example, KLM says:

General included check-in baggage allowance

Economy Class on European and intercontinental flights

  • 1 item of check-in baggage*: L + W + H max. 158 cm (62 inch) and max. 23 kg (50 lbs).
  • Flying Blue Silver, Gold and Platinum members and SkyTeam Elite and Elite Plus members can bring 1 extra item of check-in baggage of the same dimensions and weight as mentioned above on flights operated by SkyTeam airlines.
* On most routes, the Light ticket option does not include check-in baggage. Read more about ticket types.

Business Class on European and intercontinental flights

  • 2 items of check-in baggage: each L + W + H max. 158 cm (62 inch) and each max. 32 kg (70,5 lbs)
  • Flying Blue Silver, Gold and Platinum members and SkyTeam Elite and Elite Plus members can bring 1 extra item of check-in baggage of the same dimensions and weight as mentioned above on flights operated by SkyTeam airlines.

Any suggestions for a creative way to get from TLV YVR in July for example and generate 12500 MQM one way as it appears my return trip is outside the 3 months trial period....other than purchasing an expensive fare.
